Job Description:
  • The Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) is the leading specialist educator for game development, 3D animation and visual FX educator
  • Established in 1996 as a non-profit organization to grow the creative digital sector, AIE pioneered specialist education in these fields throughout our campuses in the United States and Australia
  • We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Analyst to join our Seattle campus to maintain and support our Microsoft Window's infrastructure in an Active Directory and managed network environment across both our Seattle and Lafayette, Louisiana campus
  • This is a full-time permanent position with a 5-month probation period. Salary is negotiable based on experience & expertise
  • Not on Location & Travel: A successful applicant will be based from our Seattle campus, with occasional (quarterly, or where required) travel to our Lafayette, Louisiana campus. We will pay all travel expenses
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide first and second level technical support in a Microsoft Windows, Active Directory and managed network environment
  • Install, maintain and repair computer hardware and components
  • Install and maintain software & operating systems, using SCCM and other remote tools
  • Maintain requests, incidents and changes with a ticketing system
  • Take initiative with keeping the campus studios neat and tidy
  • Ensure audio/visual equipment are maintained and operational
  • Keep documentation updated and accurate
Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years experience maintaining and troubleshooting a Microsoft Windows and Active Directory domain in a managed network environment
  • Incident, Request and Change Management service desk processes
  • High focus on providing exceptional customer support to our faculty, general staff and students
  • Sound troubleshooting capabilities resolving problems with operating system, applications and software, hardware components, laptops and audio/visual devices
  • Understanding of managed networks, (VLANs, subnets, IP addressing) and maintaining and troubleshooting networking related problems
  • Active directory domain knowledge (user creation, deletion, edits and password resets) and Group Policy Object troubleshooting & management
  • Deploying Standard Operating Environment (SOE) images within a Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) environment, troubleshooting SOE related and driver issues
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with good phone etiquette
  • Ability to work with a broader IT team that is located in Australia
