Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Full-Time

Job Description:

  • The Lafayette Bar Association, a membership organization representing more than 800 attorneys in the Lafayette area, has an immediate need of an Administrative Assistant
  • In this role you will: 
  • Serve as the Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director Open and close the office daily as well as answer and route all incoming telephone calls
  • Assist the Executive Director with bookkeeping tasks including entering payables and deposits into QuickBooks and processing credit card payments through Sage Payment Systems 
  • Assist the general public with use of the Lafayette Parish Public Law Library  
  • Manage the Lafayette Bar Mediation and Arbitration Center Help maintain the membership database and through frequent and detailed updates 
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) 
  • Experience in QuickBooks or other accounting software 
  • Available to attend after-hours events and able to complete occasional overnight travel
