Job Description:
- The Lafayette Bar Association, a membership organization representing more than 800 attorneys in the Lafayette area, has an immediate need of an Administrative Assistant
- In this role you will:
- Serve as the Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director Open and close the office daily as well as answer and route all incoming telephone calls
- Assist the Executive Director with bookkeeping tasks including entering payables and deposits into QuickBooks and processing credit card payments through Sage Payment Systems
- Assist the general public with use of the Lafayette Parish Public Law Library
- Manage the Lafayette Bar Mediation and Arbitration Center Help maintain the membership database and through frequent and detailed updates
- Other tasks and projects as assigned by the Executive Director
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Experience in QuickBooks or other accounting software
- Available to attend after-hours events and able to complete occasional overnight travel
