Job Title: Systems Support Specialist

Job Description:
- Manage and execute IT projects and maintenance tasks both internally and for clients
- Manage Apache, Nginx and MySQL servers (dedicated and cloud)
- Monitor and optimize system performance, including maintenance, testing, monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- Setup, maintain, renew, and troubleshoot services for clients and internal users, including DNS, domain registration, SSL certificates, and email
- Maintain and establish vendor relationships, evaluate expenses and new offerings, and manage vendor support tickets for services including Rackspace, Google, FreshDesk, Cloudflare
- Schedule and delegate WordPress updates quarterly for each client
- Coordinate the transfer of services for clients
- Analyze technical needs and provide cost estimates for service upgrades
- Train incoming team members on using internal systems and basic technical skills
- Evaluate and provide technical training initiatives for staff
Qualifications:
- General understanding of online security and web safety
- Familiarity with WordPress or Joomla CMS
- Minimum two years experience with website management, web development, or server management
- Experience with Linux servers, database administration, or cloud hosting
- Ability to evaluate and troubleshoot any number of server, email, DNS, SSL, security and similar technical issues
- Ability to respond efficiently during high-pressure incidents
- Customer support experience preferred
