Job Title: Pipe/Drainage Foreman

Job Description:
- The Foreman with work with and oversee a small crew of equipment operators and laborers to complete various piping and drainage projects
- In addition, this crew will also oversee the dress-up/clean-up phase of completed asphalt projects
- When these projects are completed, the foreman will be integrated into the asphalt crew to complete other ongoing projects
- The Pipe/Drainage foreman is responsible for ensuring safe and productive operations of a heavy highway construction crew
- The Job Superintendent is responsible for production, quality, quantity, and efficiency of the crew members; directly supervises all daily work of a specific crew
- This Work Scope /Job Description are a general description of the basic job function, skills, knowledge and abilities, and the general duties of the position
- The Work Scope does not necessarily include all the duties which may be required of an equipment operator
- Work Scopes may be revised as needed
- The job requires the ability to stand and walk for several hours at a time
- Walking, bending, stooping, climbing on and off uneven surfaces is also required
- The ideal candidate will possess the ability to operate a large dozer, track hoe and backhoe to a high level of proficiency AND be able to successfully lead a small sized crew efficiently.
- Safe operation of equipment and safe actions while on the work site and in company vehicles is mandatory
- The following are required for consideration:
- High level of equipment operation
- Experience with completing assignments with a high degree of safety, quality and efficiency
- Previous horizontal construction experience
- Previous work with DOTD projects is a plus
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
