Job Description:
- The position reports directly to the Director of Sales and works closely with a Sales Coordinator
- The SMERF (Sports Teams, Weddings and Religious groups) sales manager is responsible for selling 327 sleeping rooms and 22,000 square feet of meeting space
- A close working relationship with the Catering Manager is also required
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in sales or marketing
- Knowledge of Hotel Sales Pro and Delphi preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of hotel operations
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
- High level of Customer service
- Excellent verbal communication
- Ability to gain confidence and build rapport with customers
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Strong decision-making capabilities resourcefulness to conduct independent research and gather information to fully understand your market and strong analytical skills
