Job Description:
  • The Tax Administrator will be a member of the tax team which is responsible for all aspects of the tax compliance for ATC Group Services and its affiliated entities, including filing, reporting and planning in all 50 states where company has operations. The Tax Administrator will focus primarily on sales & use tax, property tax and business license compliance Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare sales/use/gross receipts tax returns
  • Prepare property tax returns
  • Manage business licenses and renewals
  • Manage record retention of all tax filings, payments and correspondence
  • Assist with monitoring/maintenance of tax calendar
  • Assist with tax research and planning
  • Assist with resolving tax issues, responding to tax notices and inquiries from federal/state agencies, including audits
  • Work closely with tax and non-tax personnel to ensure departmental deadlines are met and objectives are achieved
  • Help identify and implement changes to existing processes or help in the development of new processes that result in more efficient and accurate fulfillment of job responsibilities
  • Support of other tax functions and additional tax/accounting projects as assigned
 Qualifications:
  • A minimum of high school diploma or GED required
  • Fundamental accounting knowledge required, including ability to prepare tax account reconciliations and propose journal entries
  • Experience in accounting system data retrieval
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications with advanced proficiency in Excel
  • 2-5 years of sales/use/gross receipts tax and/or property tax experience
  • Detail oriented and organized; must have the ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
  • Good oral and written communication skills
