Job Description:
  • BBR, an award-winning, full-service advertising firm based in Lafayette, LA, is searching for an ambitious, knowledge-hungry Web developer to join their team of technology enthusiasts and progressive thinkers
  • The candidate will be responsible for helping to develop innovative, highly usable websites and digital media for our industry-leading clients
  • BBR is seeking an applicant who has passion, eats CSS for breakfast, and wants to work in a creative environment
  • The Front End Developer will work closely with the VP of Product Development, Creative Technology Director and the rest of the highly creative team at BBR to develop award-winning websites as well as other digital media projects
  • Job Duties & Responsibilities include:
  • Working with cross-disciplined teams to product websites using iterative and agile methods
  • Assisting in the production, maintenance and updates of existing client websites
  • Code highly efficient and load optimized website markup
  • Implement search engine optimization structured markup
  • Track and fix bugs in unfamiliar code quickly
  • Report to the Creative Technology Director and work directly with the entire team
Qualifications:
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field
  • Excellent skills in HTML5, CSS3, PHP and JavaScript
  • Developing with and customizing open source and licensed applications such as Wordpress, Drupal, Shopify, Magento and others as needed
  • Experience working with Git and bug tracking systems
  • Familiar with frontend frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation
  • Things That Are a Major Plus:
  • Familiarity with SCSS and other CSS preprocessors
  • Self-starter with strong self-management skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Has an understanding of agency structure and creative/production processes
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Experience with HTML email development or marketing automation, especially MailChimp and Hubspot
  • Knowledge of mobile platforms such as iOS and Android
  • Familiar with C#, ASP.NET MVC or Web APIs
