Job Description:
  • Designs software and system upgrades to enhance Fugro’s proprietary geophysical systems
  • Assists in design, implementation and support of fully integrated software solutions for mission planning, processing and deliverables
  • Consults with internal users to determine software/system purpose, workflow, usability and document detailed requirements and test plans
  • Provides offshore operational support as required to evaluate and test new technologies, championing those new technologies from development to production environments

Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other applicable engineering field
  • Candidate must have C# and C++ programming experience
  • Candidate must have strong oral and written skills, capable of working in groups and independently, capable to learn new technologies quickly, effective ability to organize and prioritize tasks. Capable of translating user needs into system requirements, requirements into statements of work
  • While primarily an office based position, the responsibilities will require time spent offshore assisting in operations, trials and support of new systems
  • Preferred experience:
  • Experience in UML design, unit testing, test management, hardware interfacing, hydrographic and geophysical processing
