Job Description:
  • Designs software and system upgrades to enhance Fugro's proprietary geophysical systems
  • Assist in design, implementation and support of fully integrated software solutions for mission planning, processing and deliverables
  • Consults with internal users to determine software/system purpose, workflow, usability and document detailed requirements and test plans
  • Provides offshore operational support as required to evaluate and test new technologies from development to production environments
Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other applicable engineering field
  • Candidate must have a C# and C++ programming experience
  • Candidate must have strong oral and written skills, capable of working in groups and independently, capable to learn new technologies quickly, effective ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Capable of translating user needs into system requirements, requirements into statements of work
  • While primarily an office based position, the responsibilities will required time spent offshore assisting in operations, trials and support of new systems
  • Experience in UML design, unit testing, test management, hardware interfacing, hydrographic and geophysical processing
