Job Description:
  • At Gas Pump TV we believe that data is the beginning and end to solving every problem. The perfect candidate for this role will have a strong quantitative background, will be able to tackle abstract business and engineering problems, possesses strong enthusiasm and initiative, and comfortable working with ambiguity.
  • Use state of the art artificial intelligence, statistics and data mining with a variety of data sources, including behavioral data, market research data and social data.
  • Experiments design, test hypotheses, scenario modeling and build models.
  • Use statistical and predictive modeling techniques to build multiple real-time decision systems
  • Provide strategic recommendations for enhanced and continual data mining, data collection and retention and storage
  • Perform data analysis and build statistical models for segmentation, classification, optimization, time series, etc.
  • Design and implement reporting dashboards that track key business metrics and provide actionable insights.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering & Operations teams to create rules, reports, and manage decisions
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis experience
  • Experience in a commercial environment building analytics solutions
  • Experience with open source machine learning toolkits, deep learning, data mining, and statistical analysis tools
  • Good fundamental knowledge of in object-oriented design, data structures, high-performance computing, algorithm design, complexity analysis, problem solving and diagnosis
  • Familiarity with multivariate regression, logistic regression, clustering algorithms, support vector machines, decision trees and predictive modeling
  • Proven ability in implementing big data machine learning applications at scale and in production environment
  • Experience with common analysis tools – R, Prism, SQL, Python, and Spark. Demonstrable familiarity with code and programming concepts.
  • Experience of working in Mode Analytics for querying and reporting preferred.
  • Self-driven and laser-focused, able to quickly prototype ideas, perform critical analysis and using creative approaches to solving complex problem
  • BS/MS/PhD degree in a quantitative discipline (applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, operations research, or related field)
