Job Description:
  • The Carriage House Hotel, Lafayette's only AAA 4-Diamond property, neighboring City Club at River Ranch is looking for a Hotel Manager and Concierge Manager
  • Carriage House Guests are considered Members of City Club during their stay and may enjoy the following amenities: Full Service Fitness Center, Outdoor Swimming Pool and Recreation Area, Tennis, On Site Casual Dining, and Riverspa Services (On-Site Spa)
  • The primary function of this position is to over see the daily Front Desk and to provide members, guests, residents, clients, and associates with exceptional guest service
  • The Concierge Manager will oversee performaces to ensure adherence to hotel policies, establishe operating procedure, and that all standards of professionalish are being practiced by the Concierge Staff
  • The Concierge Manager will work closely with the Hotel Manager to ensure that a consistent delivery of service is being delivered to all guests
  • The Manager may also be required to assist in housekeeping as necessary
  • All duties will be performed in accordance with departmental and Club policies, practices, and procedures
  • The Concierge Manager carries out supervisory responsibilities that include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising employee performance and addressing and resolving problems
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 2 years of college preferred
  • Minimum of six (6) months in a customer services field required
  • Experience in hospitality preferred
  • Will be required to have a current CPR certification
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, first class customer service and communication skills, excellent time management and organizational skills (ability to meet deadlines), attention to detail, ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts, familiar with all software for guest services points and accurate accounting
  • Knowledgeable of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Prompt and regular attendance
  • Work flexible hours. The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and associates my be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work and overtime as required. The work schedule for this position will require a 50+ hour wok due to the fluctuating business demands. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs of hospitality that may include evenings, nights, week-ends and holidays
  • Participate in all mandatory job training and meetings
  • On-call status
  • Physical ability to do the job duties as listed as essential functions. Must be able to push/pull up to 25 lbs. and be able to lift up to 25lbs. Must be able to bend at the waist
  • Wide variety of physical activity that may required focus on a computer or telephone work at a dest that may require typing dexterity, a clear speaking voice, an ability to hear clearly and sit for long periods of time
  • May required walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day
