Job Description:
  • The Engineering Inter in Lafayette, LA will work with area engineers to resolve questions related to time values and make revisions if required. In this role, you will:
  • Use metric development and analytical tools
  • Work with engineering management to receive assignments and make recommendations for improvements
  • Work on a variety of projects and support build team personnel with information necessary to complete daily tasks
Qualifications:
  • A firm understanding of essential engineering job functions, processes and principles
  • Strong computer skills, especially with: Computer Aided Design, MS Windows, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to fulfill the full length of the Summer Intern Program (May 29, 2018-August 10, 2018)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that can be used when communicating with coworkers
  • A strong passion for working in the aerospace/manufacturing industry
  • Education requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field, at a four-year university
  • 3.0 minimum GPA
  • Must be a current student enrolled in a university and pursuing a degree at the time of the Summer Intern Program
  • Ideal Candidates also have:
  • Previous internship experience in an engineering role, preferable at an engineering firm or manufacturing company
  • Experience working with cross functional teams, which creates an atmosphere for high levels critical thinking
  • Experience in rebuilding cars and engines, motorcycles, or remodeling different tools and equipment
  • A strong work ethic and drive to be successful in a busy work environment
