Job Description:
  • News 15, the FOX and NBC affiliate in Lafayette, LA has an immediate position available for a Multimedia Journalist. The principle duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Report the news. This includes gathering information, setting up interviews, writing stories, and shooting and editing video
  • Write stories for on-air, online and for social media
  • Make calls on news stories
  • Relay information to viewers/readers in a clear, understandable, fair and accurate manner
  • Receive and answer phone calls from viewers in a professional manner
  • Represent the station at community events such as parades, station sponsored events, speeches at schools or to various organizations, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Be available for various promotional shoots
  • Responsible for on-call
