Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description:
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
  • Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions
  • Performs technical calculations related to package equipment in accordance with applicable codes and standards
  • Prepares procedures, drawings and calculations related to project design and development
  • Participates in documentation and management of client-requested changes to project scope of supply
  • Reviews project specifications and H2O’s commercial offerings prior to initiation of engineering activities
  • Participates in the development of new technologies and/or packaged equipment as directed by engineering manager
  • Liaises with suppliers to ensure that equipment supplied meets project specifications
  • Liaises with project manager to maintain project schedule and budget during project execution
  • Liaises with third party engineers and/or fabricators to ensure deliverables meet project and H20 requirements
  • Liaises with engineering manager to obtain approvals on engineering documentation and overall package design
  • Prepares commissioning and service-related procedures
  • Attends project HAZID, HAZOP and other meetings as required by the client during project execution

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering field desired, demonstration of technical understanding and/or ability required
  • 5 + years experience in E & P sector of the Petroleum Industry
  • 2 + years experience with reverse osmosis, electro chlorination and biological sewage treatment preferred
  • Familiar with multiple disciplines (mechanical design, piping design, electrical and instrumentation) and their integration project-wide
  • Ability to organize information in a clear and concise manner for both internal and external presentation
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
  • A working knowledge of "Microsoft Office" tools (Excel, Word, Project, etc.)
  • Continuously self-educates and improves knowledge base
