Job Description:
  • The Application Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the development of high quality technical and commercial proposals for custom water treatment packages
  • Owns and manages H2O proposals process ensuring proposals are completed and delivered to customers accurately and within agreed upon timeframe
  • Generate custom technical and commercial proposals for custom water treatment packages ensuring that the proposed equipment meets all agreed upon customer specifications
  • Liaise with other functionary departments to communicate the proposal strategy
  • Arrange and lead Technical Clarification Meetings with clients to answer questions, provide explanation and resolve potential problems
  • Arrange and act as lead in internal H2O Proposal Review Meetings and ensure that all agreed actions are incorporated into the final proposal document
  • Review and vet detailed RFP specifications from EPC firms and end-user/operators and complete preliminary calculations
  • Act as a point of contact for customers on technical issues ensuring the client receives the highest level of service
  • Manage the procurement process and oversee buyer for purchasing of non-technical components
  • Exercise and maintain authority regarding all employment actions including counseling, resolving conflict, recognizing, rewarding or terminating employees when necessary
  • Manage employees’ work schedules, time off and vacation schedules to ensure efficient operation of department
  • Document and review employee performance
  • Interview candidates and hire personnel, ensuring the appropriate people are in the right positions to promote and carry out the company’s exceptional level of customer service

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering field desired, demonstration of technical understanding and ability required
  • Prior experience as an Applications or Proposal Engineer, Process Engineer or Project Engineer preferred
  • Ability to organize information in a clear and concise manner for both internal and external presentation
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
  • A working knowledge of "Microsoft Office" tools (Excel, Word, Project, etc.)
  • Strong experience using SOLIDWORKS and Auto CAD
  • Continuously self-educates and improves knowledge base
