Job Description:
  • Show prep for daily radio show using social media, entertainment sites, local news and pop-culture sources
  • Maintain online presence with the use of personal blogs and web posts on 1079ishot.com
  • Write and produce commercials as well as personal endorsement content
  • Be available for voice-tracked shifts and remote broadcasts as assigned
  • Work closely with station manager to develop program content, format and establishing ratings goals
  • Control board operation, including editing phone bits, interviews and other station audio
  • Work with sales and promotions to maximize revenue opportunities, including promotions and personal endorsements
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years on-air experience with experience in a radio format targeted to the 18-34 demo preferred
  • Strong on-air presence. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Track record of success in ratings and revenue
  • Experience operating all on-air and production equipment
  • Experience with audio software editing products (Adobe Audition, etc.)
  • Computer skills for audio delivery and automation systems (Zetta, NextGen, Audiovault, etc.), word processing, audio editing and web/social media
  • Experience with G-Selector or programming software preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation and be available as needed--including nights, weekends, and holidays when required
  • MUST be social media savvy, ready to hit the Lafayette scene and execute an engaging onair and off-air presence
