Job Title: I.T. Technician

Job Description:
- As an I.T. Technician, you will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This includes planning, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and peripherals.
- The Technician is responsible for general maintenance of computers and computer equipment, and for resolving identified technical problems. The Technician is expected to undertake general tasks that will promote seamless use of I.T. infrastructure in a work environment.
- Responsibilities will include:
- Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade operating systems
- Diagnose software and hardware problems
- Be ready to assist with I.T. related problems when called upon
- Install and configure new computers and other I.T. equipment
- Install, configure, and upgrade desktop hardware and peripherals
- Perform updates of servers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum two years’ experience
- Hands-on knowledge of Basic Server Administration, Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS, Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, and Telecommunications (PBX)
- Ability to investigate and analyze information in order to draw conclusions
- Ability to plan, implement, test, deploy and troubleshoot systems software
- Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to end users
- Knowledge of computer security procedures and protocol
- Ability to learn and support new hardware, software and operating systems
- Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported
- Relevant certifications (MCSE, CCNA, A+, etc.), Disaster Recovery Planning, Routing, Switching, and IT Security Principles are a plus
