Job Description:
  • LHFH Mission Statement: Seeking to put God’s Love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
  • Position Description: The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for implementing and growing the ReStore Volunteer Program. This includes but is not limited to recruiting and training volunteers, providing a first class volunteer experience, and implementing volunteer recognition activities. The Community Outreach Coordinator also works with the Communications Director to manage the ReStore’s social media accounts, create in-store marketing and plan special events designed to increase sales and/or donations.
  • Recruit, train and engage volunteers in meaningful ways
  • Maintain volunteer calendar through CERVIS
  • Help to develop and maintain positive ReStore Volunteer culture
  • Give presentations to community groups for volunteer recruitment and brand awareness
  • Customer service
  • ReStore liaison for future Habitat homeowners
  • Work with ReStore Manager and Community Outreach Director to create and execute an effective social media plan
  • Manage ReStore social media accounts including promoting real time events - donations, volunteers, store events
  • Assist ReStore Manager & Communications Director with in-store marketing
 Qualifications:
  • Nonprofit and management experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Works well as part of a team and takes initiative to assist/lead others
  • Enjoys working with the public and possesses excellent customer service skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Commitment to Habitat for Humanity’s mission
  • Required license or certification:
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • All candidates are required to undergo a drug screen and criminal and sex offender background checks. Background checks and drug screen must be completed before job is offered. Candidates must also be capable of standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 35 lbs.
