Job Description:
- Technology Professionals System Engineer team members are responsible for modifying and managing service and project tickets from setup to function and according to client and TechPro specifications
- In this role, the incumbent will be expected to stay abreast of practices, latest technology and innovative methods of delivering the best possible solution
- Technology Professional system engineers are consultants as well as technicians so initiative, self-motivation and organization is essential
- Manage and maintain customer network, email, & server on premise, hybrid, and cloud
- environments proactively ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Manage and maintain customer, vendor, and other employee relationships for problem
- resolution
- Provide 2nd and 3rd tier level support
- Maintain security, backup systems, and redundancy strategies
- Consul on quoting, planning and coordinating client work
- Ensure customer infrastructure and systems are secure, patched, backed up, and adhere to
- industry best practices
- Maintain an updated record of time, expenses (mileage), customer information, and status of
- tickets in ConnectWise as work is performed.
- Keep up with best practices and the latest technology in the industry
- Keep current with best practice and the latest tools to perform service work
- Maintain and update department forms and documents as needed
- Assist and follow in the vision of Technology Professionals as shared from the Partners
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles on related technologies and customer support
- processes
- A+, Network+, Server+, and/or Security+ (having all not required; certification in one vertical required within 60 days of employment if not already attained)
- Network/Security Support Experience (Configuration & Support):
- Cisco Firewall, Switch, VPN, Content Filtering and WAP (CCNA / CCNP Certification Preferred)
- SonicWALL Firewall, VPN, & Content Filtering
- Ubiquity Switching, Bridges, and WAP
- Server Network Experience (Configuration & Support):
- Microsoft Windows Server Environment
- Hyper V Virtualization
- RDP
- Radius
- VMWare
- DHCP & DNS
- Backup Solution Experience:
- Veeam
- Datto
- Barracuda
- Veritas
- Software (Configuration & Support):
- Office 365
- RMM / Service Management (Continuum, Labtech, ConnectWise)
- Communications:
- Data Circuits (Fiber, Broadband, Voice)
- VOIP Phones
- On Premise Phone System Support Preferred but Not Required
