Job Description:
- Perioperative RNs use the nursing process to develop individualized plans of care and to coordinate and deliver care to patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures
- Perioperative RNs identify patient needs, set goals with patients, and implement nursing interventions and activities to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Perioperative INs address the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual responses of patients by using standards, knowledge, judgment, and skills based on scientific principles
- Perioperative RNs are ethical, responsible, and accountable for quality patient care and use evidence as the foundation for practice
- Perioperative RNs assume responsibility for lifelong learning

- Graduate of a nursing program, BSN preferred
- Previous OR experience preferred
- Current Louisiana Registered Nursing license
- BLS required
- Participate in on-call schedule
- Certified Nurse of Operating Room (CNOR) preferred
