Job Description:
  • The position of Defense Sales, North America will be responsible for providing overall direct sales efforts to the US, Canadian, and Mexican defense industry including government, prime contractors, and other clients in the defense industry.
  • Key tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Develop and sustain strategic relationships with key individuals within the defense industry (government and prime contractors)
  • Negotiate and close sales
  • Contract negotiation
  • Marketing analysis
  • Expense budgeting
  • Writing and developing technical sales proposals
  • Revenue forecasting
  • Responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs) / Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Generating new sales leads and opportunities for ASV Global products
  • Proactively seeking audiences for customer familiarization, briefings and technical presentations
  • Represent ASV Global at public forums and trade shows
  • Coordinate with Directors and Senior Managers to deliver innovative solutions and ensure a superior customer experience
  • Routinely report and relay information to the sales team
  • Track and record all sales activity in the company CRM tool
Qualifications:
  • Candidates must have experience and analytical skills with CRMs, Excel data and manipulation, KPI dashboards, lead distribution and MS software. The position also requires working in coordination with ASV Limited located in the UK. Previous experience with sophisticated sales processes that require preparation, follow through and multiple client touch points is a must.
  • Essential Key Traits:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area
  • Minimum 3 years’ defense sales experience in the private “for profit” sector
  • US Navy technology acquisition background
  • Experience with maritime defense
  • Active or recent Secret security clearance
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience developing written proposals
  • Interest in unmanned vessel technology
  • Desirable Key Traits
  • MBA, or equivalent business degree
