Job Description:
  • Aids in the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of new and existing tooling by performing the following duties:
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned.)
  • Will be trained to ultimately assemble and disassemble complex mold tooling for cleaning and repair. Cleaning includes disassembling mold, cleaning each piece of tooling and inspecting for wear and damage. Details are reworked or replaced as needed.
  • May perform “in-run” mold maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating of molds and components when required.
  • Maintains Mold Prep supplies and shop cleanliness (sweeping, mopping, cleaning machinery etc.)
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities
  • Other Responsibilities:
  • Helps maintain proper safety conditions by complying with safety standards; reports safety violations, near misses and accidents to Manager. Complies with all corporate rules and policies and follows department guidelines, procedures and policies.
Qualifications:
  • Education and/or Experience
  • Must have high school education or G.E.D.
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible, and have the ability to multitask and prioritize work in order to successfully accomplish job duties. Must be able to work independently or with minimal supervision. Must have an above-average desire and ability to learn, grasp and retain this knowledge quickly.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • No certificates, licenses or registrations required.
  • Language Skills:
  • Must be able to speak and read English. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mathematical Skills:
  • Above average math skills, including trigonometry, are helpful but not required.
  • Computer Skills:
  • General working knowledge of computers and use of basic Microsoft Office software is helpful but not required.
  • Reasoning Ability:
  • Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate equipment and work on molds. The employee is frequently required to stand on and work around heavy equipment. The employee is occasionally required to walk and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and high or low ambient temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
