Job Description:
  • KATC TV3 has an immediate Full Time opening for Newscast Director
  • Job description includes directing our half hour weekday and weekend shows, filling in during our two and a half our morning show, along with doing required news cut-ins and serve as crew supervisor during your shifts
  • It may also include operating studio audio, running graphics and doing camera for all KATC broadcasts and posting content to our website at KATC.com and other social media platforms, in addition to any other duties as assigned by Operations Manager or Production Manager 
  • Mornings, weekends, and holiday shifts are sometimes required
Qualifications:
  • Ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years newscast production experience
  • Strong leadership qualities are a must for this position
  • College degree preferred but not required
  • Candidate must be a self starter who is able to work well with others in a fast pace environment and be able to communicate effectively
  • Candidate must be able to complete task quickly and accurately
  • Candidates must have a clean driving record and will be subject to a background check and drug screen
