Job Description:
  • Monitor incoming alarm signals using audio and video, verifying and dispatching security, fire, and medical alarms for both residential and commercial clients and provide appropriate actions and responses consistent with training
  • Conduct proactive virtual guard tours using remote video to identify illegal and unwarranted activity and dispatch appropriate Law Enforcement responses
  • Utilize assessment, evaluation, intervention, and defusing techniques when responding to requests for assistance and when handling video, and alarm incidents
  • Perform computer keyboard functions for console operation, telephone for responder and contact notifications and control of video and access control systems using automated software
  • Document accurate, concise, detailed, factual and meaningful reports of events handled
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Video Monitoring Center Supervisor and/or shift leaders
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Good communication skills; written and verbal, along with multi-tasking organizational skills, PC literate, ability to work independently and the ability to communicate with a friendly customer service attitude
  • A background in telecommunications, criminal justice, security alarm dispatching, CCTV alarm installation or law enforcement is preferred
