Job Description:
- Universal Home Technicians (UHTs) for a designated geographic location including installation and servicing of residential/commercial video, high-speed internet, telephone services, and home security systems. Assures the delivery of the highest quality services to end users, establishes, and maintains standards for satisfaction of the end users

- Provides direction and guidance in the preparation of programs to assure adequate training and development of personnel to ensure optimal performance of individuals
- Assures company compliance with safety regulations while promoting safety awareness among employees
- Manages the field service operation to ensure that both short and long-term operation objectives and financial goals are met
- Assures a smooth integration of new products and service offerings into the field service operation
- Coordinates with various operating units within Cox Communications to ensure the maximization of profit potential and cost reduction and the provision of excellent service and sales
- Works in possible hazardous situations including, but not limited to, inclement weather, construction site environments, confined spaces, and various residential customer situations
- Ensures the completion of scheduled work within budget by monitoring daily production of work completed
- Ensures the quality of installs and repairs meet specified standards and customer expectations
- Identifies customer concerns and resolves customer issues expeditiously and accurately and identifies trends and coaching opportunities for employees
- Integrates new technologies and services into regular installation and service operations
- Provides direction and participates in the repair of major technical problems and helps to resolve complex customer problems
- Performs regular job inspections and ride-along with Universal Home Technicians to monitor and assess technical and customer service skills, job quality and performance
- Improves field performance efficiencies by coaching and developing proper trouble shooting and installation methods
- Assists employees with accomplishing objectives by monitoring performance, providing training, feedback, coaching, and evaluating performance
- Establishes a high standard of productivity and accuracy by effectively interviewing, hiring, and training employees to attain proficiency and high performance
- 3+years’ experience in Telecommunications related field (Field Operations or Network Operations). Certification is required in some areas
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and to attend other meetings outside this schedule as required
- Strong computer knowledge that includes, Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint, etc.
- Excellent strategic thinking, interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Valid State Driver’s License with driving record that meets Cox standards
- Preferred: AS/AA or BS/BA degree in related discipline
- Preferred: 2 years leadership experience in a “services” industry preferred, or similar experience
