Job Description:
  • The Product Program Specialist works in conjunction with the Director of Sales to plan, organize, and coordinate all aspects of the council’s approved product sales programs
  • He/she also works to support the Product Sales volunteers and staff to ensure maximum effectiveness and success in each of the product sales programs. The incumbent must exercise tact in dealing with volunteers and employed staff and works under periods of pressure and stress with emotional maturity
  • In conjunction with the Manager of Adult Development, arranges and helps facilitate product sales program trainings
  • Engages and oversees Product program volunteers’ positions. 
  • Supports and organizes the logistics of product supply and delivery and distributes recognitions 
  • Manages, supports, and oversees IRM participates in the product program. 
  • Assists with development and implementation of programs to increase product sales program participation among service units, troops, and girls
  • Participates in “Product Sales Volunteer Partner” meetings to implement strategic planning and development of product sales program materials and timeline 
  • In conjunction with the Marketing & Communications department, implements the communication strategy to market sales both externally and internally including the development of the printed materials for the sales each year. (i.e. Service Unit Cookie and Fall Product Manuals, troop cookie and fall product manuals, parent responsibility and permission forms, and all other forms needed)
  • Serves as a key contributor in the development of strategies and tactics for sales growth, volunteer convenience, and girl development as primary objectives; provides innovative insights and recommendations
  • Works in partnership with vendors to provide excellent customer service to our volunteers and customers
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of online sale management tools Nut.e and eBudde. 
  • Monitors all troop bank deposit activities and oversees the collection process of all product sales funds while ensuring that all delinquent accounts are documented in Salesforce and sent to Chief Financial Officer if unresolved
  • Monitors and resolves cases sent to the Product Program que in Salesforce 
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or chief leadership
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably business or marketing
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ product sale experience preferred or a similar background in finance/marketing
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, proof of vehicle insurance, and vehicle availability
  • Must pass a criminal background investigation. 
  • Ability and willingness to travel
