Job Description:
- Support the Strategic Capacity Services business unit
- Brokerage Account Manager (coverage focused) is responsible for ensuring loads are assigned carriers/drivers that meet the load service requirements
- This position includes developing a carrier base (DV, R, FB, Bulk Dravage) and customer solicitation on specific accounts
- This highly motivated individual will grown new and existing business and have a proven ability to maximize relationships with carriers utilizing personal contacts, networking, and negotiating to grow sustainable profitable business relationships
- Our objective is to increase revenues and maximize profitability
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Experience with Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Communication skills (i.e. verbal, written, presentations) and follow-up
- High energy, confident, persistent, and result driven
- Team player (operates through consensus)
- Ability to multi-task at a very fast pace while thinking quickly and clearly
- Commitment to customer service
- Knowledge of Brokerage Sales and Operations
- Knowledge of Transportation Modes (i.e. Truckload, LTL, Intermodal, Product, Temperature Controlled, Specialized, Over-dimensional)
