Job Description:
- John W. Stone Oil Distributor is looking for a Shore-Tankerman to work at our dockside facility in Cameron, LA
- Dockside Facility in Cameron, LA
- Onsite sleeping accommodations are available
- 14 days (7 days/7 nights) on / 7 days off
- 12 hours per shift
- Located in Gretna, LA
- Load and discharge liquid cargo to and from docks, vessels, trucks, tote tanks, and shore tanks
- Perform tinkering/bunkering operations
- Complete and submit paperwork, including sales tickets, daily reports, and the like in a timely manner
- Offload trash and used oil filters from vessels
- Update job logs on an ongoing basis
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility
- Operate a fork lift
- Maintain equipment
- Troubleshoot problems
- Complete sale tickets along with other necessary paperwork
- Track inventory
- Basic computer skills
- Able to work unsupervised
- Adhere to and comply with company and safety policies, United States Coast Guard Regulations, and environmental laws and regulations
- Physical requirements: All offers of employment are conditioned on passing a drug screen (a DOT test, and a non-DOT hair test) and a fit-for-duty physical examination
- 3 years of experience as a Tankerman
- U.S. Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC)
- Person in Charge (PIC) endorsement
- Dangerous Liquid (DL) endorsement
- Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
- Driver's License
