Job Description:
  • The Biometrics SME shall have overall responsibility of providing biometric identity management system guidance to ensure the utilization of industry best practices through biometric system subject matter expertise
Qualifications:
  • Fifteen (15) or more years of relevant experience in building multimodal backend and frontend biometric systems
  • Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Foreign Service Institute Level 3 Spanish Linguistic capability or equivalent
  • Experience serving as a biometric advisor for the successful implementation of a large scale biometric data system
  • Experience providing incisive operational insight and awareness for the purposes of maintaining and advancing the efficiency, effectiveness, accuracy, and capabilities of the enterprise-wide identity management solution
  • Experience as a liaison between operational and technical teams for the fulfillment of operational and organizational requirements
  • Experience with NIST studies and matching algorithms
  • Must have hands-on experience with large biometric systems analysis, tuning, functional process flows, troubleshooting, and design, development, and deployment
  • Experience developing user stories, including facilitation, prioritization, and negotiation with business sponsors, stakeholders, project sponsors, product owners, and development teams
  • Experience creating and maintaining biometrically based requirements documentation, including business process flows, functional specifications, use cases, test plans, and supplementary specifications
  • Experience assisting in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including successful outcomes of achieving completed user stories and associated test criteria
  • Technical proficiency with the analytical and quantitative utilization of biometric data for algorithmic tuning and functional enhancement to increase speed, accuracy, and efficiency of a biometric system
  • Experience with all aspects of configuration management planning including configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, configuration audits, and configuration documentation
  • Must be able to provide performance testing design and metrics collection best practices
