Job Title: Registered Nurse Waiver/Residential Program

Job Description:
  • Responsible for training direct service providers on medication administration, medical diagnoses, treatment plans on clients in both waiver and residential programs
  • Maintain 16 hour medication core curriculum. Responsible for annual assessments on all waiver and residential clients and quarterly assessments on all residential clients
  • Must be able to travel between St Landry, Lafayette, and Iberia parish
  • Every other week call rotation. Responsible for instruction of any non-complex task completed by direct support provider on a client
  • Assuring that annual competency is completed on all direct service providers
  • Responsible for CMA certification instruction and annual competency
  • Serves as an advocate and case manager between physicians and other nursing agencies involving client medical care
  • Must communicate between interdisciplinary team on any client medical issues or needs
  • Responsible for reviewing medication administration documentation and physician’s orders on clients in both programs
  • Perform any duties deemed necessary

Qualifications:
  • Valid Louisiana RN license
  • Four years of experience
