Job Description:
- Dual role with business analysis and systems analysis experience required
- Must be proficient in working with business to elicit requirements by documenting and understanding both current and future state business process
- This may require the creation of process flows or documentation of scenarios/examples in order to clarify and draw out business requirements
- In addition, the candidate must be skilled in functional requirements documentation
- Candidate should be comfortable and understand applications which rely on services for obtaining data and be able to map data between the service and the application itself
- In addition, candidate should be familiar with creation of basic mockups for use as a guide in explaining business needs to development team
- SA Team Member should also expect to do a cursory amount of testing and will be responsible for production checkout of code during implementations
- Skillset: SAS, SQL, DB2, Oracle, Teradata, Agile, technical sophistication with relational database concepts, querying, data warehouses and decision support tools, agile experience, write functional and non-functional requirements, participate in system design reviews, review test evidence, identify data elements needed for new reports, enhancements to existing reports, and appropriate data sources through data flow documentation
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize work and multi-task
- Ability to facilitate meetings with large groups of people
- Ability to make the complex understandable by translating IT concepts into business terms
- Expert in SDLC
- Ability to read/understand XML
- Strong understanding of service oriented architecture
- 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry
- 5+ years of experience in an IT position/role
