Job Description:
- Boarding School staff members care for female boarders ages 12-18 providing supervision, transportation, academic and personal support and encouragement within the Sacred Heart environment
- Due to the nature of the facilities and residence hall configuration, Boarding School Staff candidates must be female
- Shift Hours: This is an hourly part-time position. Each staff is scheduled for two shifts per week and at least one weekend shift each month. Weekend shifts begin Friday at 3:00pm and end Sunday at 3:00 pm. Boarding School remains open during school holidays (except Christmas) and as such, holiday hours may be required
- Caring for the daily welfare of female boarders ages 12-18 from the United States, China, Mexico, Africa, Europe, and Japan
- Following and enforcing schedules and procedures outlined in the Boarding School Handbook
- Maintaining general cleanliness within the boarding school
- Administering prescription and over-the-counter medications
- Providing transportation for boarders using school vehicles
- Planning and chaperoning weekend programming of off-campus outings and events
- Mediating and resolving conflicts amongst boarders
- Supporting and enforcing all discipline and creative sanctioning policies in a manner conducive to students’ growth
- Attending all staff training and meetings – Late July to Early August and throughout the school year
- Collaborating with the Boarding School Head, Assistant Head, and other staff to consistently uphold the 5 Goals of Sacred Heart Education. (Review the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart here: http://sofie.org/resources/goalsand-criteria)

- Previous leadership experience
- Previous living in a residence hall or similar group living experience preferred, but not required
