Job Description:
- CGI is seeking a Connect Direct Administrator in Lafayette, LA
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of UNIX and Windows Operating Systems and administration activities
- Basic Knowledge of Networking in UNIX and Windows
- Comprehensive knowledge of IBM Sterling Connect Direct for UNIX and Windows and hands on experience in the same
- Installation, Upgrade, Patching of Connect Direct and Connect Direct SDK in Windows and UNIX
- Configuring Nodes, Users and Proxies, translation tables in Connect Direct for Windows, UNIX and Mainframes
- Troubleshooting solidbB related errors in Connect Direct for Windows
- Connect Direct Secure Plus – Understanding, Configuration and Troubleshooting
- SSL/TLS security certificates – Self signed and CA signed, Authentication procedures in Connect Direct
- Troubleshooting issues related to Connect Direct failures
- Understanding of Connect Direct on Clusters
- Good Knowledge on Connect Direct Scripting for UNIX and Windows and JCLs in Mainframes
- Knowledge on scheduling and automating Connect Direct transfers
- Knowledge on IBM Control Center for monitoring and Remote Management of Connect Direct
- Basic knowledge on UNIX shell scripting
- Background of Production Support environment
- Good Documentation skills
- Good knowledge of ITIL concepts and any hands on experience in ITIL tools, especially in Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration management areas
- Willing to support on call
- Good Communication skills and Ability to support customers without any knowledge of File Transfers / Connect Direct
- Good to know – other file transfer protocols like FTP/SFTP/FTPS/HTTPS
- Good to know – other tools like Sterling Integrator, Sterling B2B Gateway, IBM Connect Direct File Agent
- Good to know – Windows Power Shell scripting
- Good to be – IBM Certified Connect Direct Administrator and ITIL Certified
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
