Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description:
  • Commercial Property Management Company in Lafayette is looking for a Maintenance Technician with a strong commitment to customer service and a strong work ethic
  • Reliable transportation (work truck preferred) and tools required, must have clean DMV, and must pass background check
  • Candidate should have at least 1-year of experience in maintenance
  • Candidate must be able to perform plumbing, electrical, grounds maintenance and some HVAC repairs (certification preferred); and meet the minimum requirements below: 
  • Must be able to work within a team
  • Should be self motivated to complete a service request from start to finish
  • Will be able to follow and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Have a flexible work schedule and be able to work "On Call" in evenings and on weekends
  • Have the ability, and experience, to operate property equipment, such as golf carts, shampoo equipment, pressure washers, blowers, vacuums, compressors and other general machinery in order to complete a service request

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates a team player attitude 
  • Knowledge of basic methods and tools employed in building maintenance work
  • Knowledge of general safety procedures and practices relating to the building trades
  • Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
  • Complies with Company standards, policies, and rules
  • Ability to perform simple repairs with a minimum of supervision
  • Ability to multi-task required
  • Physical ability to do the job duties as listed as essential functions
  • Wide variety of physical activity that may require the ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 75 pounds or less throughout the work day
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day
