Heritage Gardener

Job Title: Heritage Gardener

Job Description:
  • This person is responsible for overseeing Vermilionville's garden, cash-crop, pasture, and heirloom plant responsibilities
  • The gardener is required to work in historically-accurate costuming as provided by the Director of Museum Operations
  • This position will also be handson with the care of Vermilionville's livestock; sheep, chickens, and a hinney
Qualifications:
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to lift/carry 25 lbs overhead
  • Must have excellent guest interaction
  • Must be able to work outdoors in Louisiana weather
  • Preference will be given to candidates that speak French
  • Preference will be given to candidates that have experience with livestock
